There is an extention cord in the closet that is routed in behind the cabnet then in behind the microwave. It looks brand new and it isn't plugged into anything? What is it for? Maybe an option that I don't have that was available on this boat?? Any ideas?
Also how long can I expect the hot water heater to last? I didn't try mine before I purchased the boat, and discovered it doesn't work afterwards. The connections are corroded beoned repair, and the lines that circulate the engine coolant through the tank were plugged on the exit line. Is this normal on a ten year old boat?

Cheers
Chris

it all depends on alot of different factors...is the engine fresh water cooled or raw water cooled...has the boat been in salt water all of it's life...what kind of care did the original owner provide to the boat...keeping it clean and salt free....etc....there's so many things that can go wrong with a hot water heater..but 10 yrs is a good time...

but the wire..well..it could be an option that wasn't installed...don't know what it could be though.....
