Default 5 degree list to port 2008 maxum 2900se

my guess is the fresh water 30 gallon tank and the vacuflush holding 30 gallon tank are both on the port side. my boat will list when at rest aprox 5 degrees. any suggestions on how to cure this ?

I agree. My 97 2800 hs both to the Stbd and when the water is full, there is a slight list to stbd. I notice it more when running and compensate with trim tabs. I would doubt your holding tank and water tank would be full at the same time.

1) Consider only filling the tank with as much water as you need. You will get up on plane faster and burn fuel more efficiently. Water is 8lbs per Gallon and adds up quickly. A full (30 Gal.) water tank will weigh 240lbs.

2) Consider pumping out more frequently. Again, with a full (30Gal.) Holding tank that is another 240lbs to port. (480lb if both holding tank and water are full). Holding tank chemical/deoderant manufacturers typically recommend pumping out every 5 days. I like to pump out on Sunday before I go home for the week.

3) Consider Ballast; Where are your batteries located? Can they or any other weight be placed to stbd to balance the boat better? This includes people.

These are just some thoughts. I moved one of my batteries further to port to compensate my slight stbd list, keep the water at half and the holding tank empty.
