Default 3000 SCR Original OEM options question

Hey guys,

Does anyone happen to know what the original options for motor/drive setup were available when these boats were new. Mine is a 1998 3000 scr with twin 5.7L and Bravo 2 outdrives. I know there is a lot involved with pitch size, but wondering what these boats originally came with was a 5.7L available?

You mention engines, drive and pitch (which is propeller). Are you looking for the engine options, drive options or propeller size and pitch?

The Maxum Care for a 97 3000scr w/5.7 calls for a 14.5x 19 Or 21 depending on the bravoii ratio.

This site can give a lot of info. If you can't get info on your specific year you can go up or down. Good Luck.

That is what I was looking for. How do I find out the ratio? I had major work done to my engines over the winter and getting ready to do a sea trial. One motor had long block replaced other had the heads replaced. The mechanic stated that the condition of the heads indicated that the motor might have been overworked. He stated that the props might not be the correct ones. 21 pitch currently, wont know until sea trial at W.O.T. which is supposed to be 4400-4800 rpms.
Thank you for the information!

Call Mercruiser with the Outdrive serial number and they will be able to tell you what the gear ratio is.
