Default 2300SC skylight leak

Just purchased a 1992 2300sc and both skylights leak. Is there a recommended fix for this?

where are they leaking ...???...if it's around the frame then you have to remove the whole assy and re-seal it..then replace the gasket material around the glass...there is some double sided gasket material that is used to replace the old sealing gasket....make sure the frame and boat is completely cleaned from old silicone...

Hi, I've got the same boat. 1992 Maxum 2300SCR with the same problem. How did you fix you skylights?
I have tried several thing with the exception of complete removal and replacement. I even thought about using more screws to hold them down?

Are the scews through bolted or wood screws. If they are screws and are stripped, remove the whole thing. Drill out and put in wood dowels (sealed), this will give the new screws something good to bite on. Put new sealant or gasket and replace, don't forget to put sealant on the screws.

Good Luck, Shep

hey anybody out there with a 1992 Maxum 2300scr, 340 hrs. great condition in/out know what would be fair asking price in today's market? I have seen a range of 7500-10500k
I have two interested buyers one for 9,000 and another for 9,500 but with a broker fee of 500. is this fair?
please advice, I need to show it tomorrow for second time to both.
thanks to all.

We had new glass made, cleaned but did not remove double sided gasket(where can we get the stuff) and used GE Silcone from Home Depot. Suggest anything better? We also destroyed the prop this weekend. Any suggestions on what type to replace it with? We Run on Lake St Clair and will be taking it to Florida to run in the intercoastal. My parter likes to run wide open most of the time because it does not want to plane at low speed
