Default 2008 2900se Questions

Im currently shopping for my first boat. Im currently exploring two deals one on a brand new 2008 2900se with no hours and a slightly used 2008 with under 30 hours. Both have the basic engine options and similar configurations. What would be a fair offer for both of these boats? Thank you all.

Welcome to the zoo....right now it's hard to say what would be a fair offer since there are so many boats on the market and the factories are offering incentives and rebates...for instance...we just bought a bayliner 340...opts out at 184k....the dealer knocked 50k off the top...the factory threw in another 26k...we traded our 2003 model 2700 scr loaded with genny and stuff for 32k.....all in all we made out pretty well...so....there are tons of deals available right now from the dealer and factory...

Alot depends on how much value you put on having a 'new boat'. For all intents and purposes, both those boats are 2 years old now (Maxum will be building 2010 boats very shortly)... but its always nice to be the first owner.

Whats the price difference and where in the world are you?
