Can those of you with this setup let me know what you think about the power on this boat? Are you happy with it? Thanks.

I have the 190hp carb'd version (2006 1800 SR-3) and it has suited our needs regarding wakeboarding just fine. I did have a problem with pulling my 210lb bro-in-law up with three adults on board but it was his first time trying wakeboarding. I had no problem at all pulling my other brother in law who weighs 200, but he's been wakeboarding for years so a lot of it depends on the skill of the boarder. And this was with my stock 23' prop!!
Put a Hi Five 19' and with the extra hp of the MPI you will not have ANY problems IMO. Plus you'll be able to pull all day long on 1 tank of gas.
I agree with BR, the V8 doesn't give that much more to justify the increased weight and full consumption. They weren't offering the V8 in the 1800 last I checked. You had to move up to the 1900, which does have a more comfortable bow section with speakers. I should have gone for the 1900 with the MPI V6. Although, the MPI is a $5000 premium over the 190hp. It would have been $10,000 more for one more foot and 30 more horsepower (referring to buying from a dealer, not a pre-owned private sale).
