2000 SCR 30 twin 5.7 with Brovo 2 out drives
Has anyone else experienced the engines won’t turnover when the key is turned. The starter won’t turn on. I believe it in the controls. It acts like it’s not in neutral. Can anyone help. It’s been getting worse over time.

Welcome aboard
Are both engines acting this way? They each their own neutral safety switch so it would be hard to believe both went up at the same time. Do you hear any noise such as a soleniod click?

1) Try toggling the emergency shut off.
2) Shift the transmission into FWD, then RVS, then back to neutral
3) Can you hear the solenoid 'click'?

The starboard started doing it first, now both engines. Moving the shifters back and forth is how I’ve been dealing with it. The only time I hear the solenoid click is when it turns the engin over. It acts like the controls are not going into the neutral position or the switches that makes it go into neutral aren’t working right. I’ve bypassed the Safty switches where the lanyards would attach. I changes both ignition switches trying to correct the issue.

The safety lynard switches don’t prevent the engine from cranking only starting as they remove power from the ignition. Try bypassing the neutral safety switch to see if you get consistent cranking. If this works you then need to deterring if the switch is faulty or if the shifter is got slop in it.

OK I confirmed that the neutral safety switch wires are yellow/red. one end comes from the S terminal of the ignition switch and the other end goes to the coil of the slave solenoid.

Thank you for confirming. I probably won’t have a chance to try till this week end. I’ll keep you informed.

I confirmed is not the safety neutral switches.
Can you direct me to where the slave solenoid switches are located?
Thanks in advance for your expertise.

The slave soleniods are located on the top of the engine next to the engine breaker (round red button). It will have the yellow/red wire and black wire on its coil. Common for these to fail and only about $25 to replace.
