Default 1998 1900 SR dash bezel

Hello, I recently bought a 1998 Maxum 1900 SR. The boat is in rough shape but the hull is surprisingly amazing. I’m doing a full restoration. The only parts I cannot source are the wood grain plastic dash bezel. Switch bezel, key switch bezel and light switch bezel. Mine is in such poor shape that they will shatter if I remove them. My only option is to fiberglass what is left of it and then vinyl wrap it. I’m curious if anyone can help me track these parts down before I remove them.. There is a picture I uploaded from google with what I am looking for. Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

You’ll need to go with plan B as those parts are no longer available.

Thanks!

I was hoping maybe someone was parting one out. I did stumble upon one on eBay and that is actually where the picture is from. I’m still waiting on his response. I’ll keep everyone posted if I go to plan B. Hopefully it will work out.

Here is a post of what I was dealing with. The gauge bezel was completely destroyed during removal. This boat spent 22 years in the sun without a tarp. I’m amazed it lasted that long. Pictures are before and after a new idea I had. I had to laser cnc gauge bezels for each individual gauge, paint the console, and vinyl wrap the bezels. What do you guys think of the result? I’m pretty proud of how it turned out with what I had to work with.

That is amazing work...

Dumb question... did you keep the CNC program for that thing? I have a 1998 Maxum... that will need all the dash bezels replaced / rebuilt...

I have someone that has a good sized CNC, and if you still have the program... it would save a ton of time.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

@EGwhip69

As for the G-Code, sorry. I don’t have that on file. My father in law was able to cut them out and he unfortunately deleted it.

Here is an attachment of my exact measurements I supplied him with though.

I will recommend adding another 2mm to the inside diameter of the rings. That way if you choose to paint or vinyl wrap, like I did, then it will slide nicer over the gauge body.

He used 10 ga steel, which is slightly thicker than 1/8”.

Hopefully this helps!

Do you have the link for the wrap?
