1996 Maxum 2400 SCR propeller

I have an new to me 1996 Maxum 2400 SCR with the 5.7 looking for the best size Prop for this boat aluminum or SS and what size? It has an 15 X 17 Aluminum now.

What outdrive, Alpha?

I recommend using quicksilver prop calculator. Also if going to SS there is more risk to the drive if you hit something. Being a cruiser I would not worry about holeshot that the SS would improve on.

Yes it has an Gen II outdrive now.

That was the standard drive. My 1997 2400 has a Bravo II.

Anyhow try seeing what the prop calculator recommends. Several parameters are required, the better you provide inputs the better the results.
