Question 1800MX...my first boat

Hi all,

Am in the process of purchasing my first Maxum and my first boat. Its a 2004 1800MX for use on a lake in Ireland.

Anything I should look out for?

I have shaken hands at this stage but just looking for any advise for obvious things to double check before handing over the cash.

No advice too basic!

Thanks

Frank

Welcome aboard

Just the normal stuff; overall condition, examine fluids for signs of water, check engine and exhaust component temps using an IR temp sensor, soft spots in deck, transom, and stringers.

Make sure the trim and trailer switches work, and that the trim gauge is accurate. Gauges should all indicate properly also, fuel gauge should give steady reading and not fluctuate.
