Default Windlass

Does anyone know if there is a breaker for the windless, according to the paperwork, it shows there should be a breaker right close to the battery box, but couldn't find one. Someone tried to steal my anchor, and looks like they tried to use the foot controls to get out all the chain, but got jammed up, and stopped, now not getting any power, going to crawl below to test with a multi-meter but doesn't seem like its getting any power.. tried controls on top and foot controls, fuse good at motor, fuse good at helm switch.. any suggestions would be great. thank you

Breakers are really there to protect the wiring from runaway draw from a device. They should be as close to the power source as possible, typically. Have you looked up by the windlass itself? does the windlass have a dedicated battery?

i crawled below and looked, didn't see anything, but honestly we were trying to get out of there, so i really need to trace the wiring, looks like the cables are going back to the batterys either in the man room or gen battery, I was thinking if the windless was jamed it could have blown a fuse type breaker.

Mine has a 60 amp breaker in the engine compartment in addition to the fuse under the helm. I believe it was an aftermarket install though.

I'm going to guess the helm fuse is for the switch at the helm to a solenoid and the 60amp is the main fuse for the run from the battery to the windlass?

Is it not in the hatch on the back besides all the battery switches and shore power connection?

It's in the back next to the battery switches

Ignore the wires hanging down, one of the breakers had broken and I'd wired a temporary breaker in whilst I waited for a new one to arrive.

Well is it port side or right side?!

Breaker on my 3200 is on the side of the gas tank, port side by batteries.
