Default Replacement part for solenoid

Starboard engine shutting down due to plunger in solenoid not operating properly. I was told by Cummings dealer the replacement solenoid does not exist and can get replacement kit for another , said cost was around425.00

Are their other sources that might have proper solenoid at less cost?
Bobbybeach thanks

No idea, someone probably has one laying around but may be tough to find.

If you have the part number for it try Google'g it or eBay.....

Do you mean the fuel lift solenoid attached to the injector pump?

It's a Bosch part that comes with the injection pump assembly that goes to Cummins. Call Bosch with your injector pump part number and they should be able to get you the part.

Hope I'm not to late, but check www.Diesel-Plus.com It's Southeast Power Supply out of Daytona Beach, Fl. I had 1 go out on the starboard last summer. Cummins is crazy what they want. Southeast shipped 1 to me in Maryland, for around 125.00 The only thing I had to do was cut off the plug that came with it and wire in the one from the old solenoid because of a different configuration
