Default Replace Hot Water Tank

Any one ever replaced the hot water tank on the 3700 SCR? Just purchased the replacement (exact same model as the original Atwood EHM6-SM) Working space very limited from aft cabin. I think there is also a means of entry from the bulkhead in the engine compartment? Not sure...

Thanks,

I have a 1998 3700 SCR and replaced the water this past winter and it took less than 60 minutes. Mine in in the utility space and the bulk head is solid. I am only 5'8 and 190 lbs so there is plenty of room for me to get completely inside the space between the bullhead and the holding tank. I set the tools on top of the holding tank and crawled inside. The Admiral was onboard so she was able to hand me things I forgot.

Good luck

Finally got the water heater installed. Bought all new PVC hot/cold water fittings. Did not realize that I was going to loose a fair amount of DEX-COOL during the removal of the old water heater. Waited for a friend to help me install the new unbit he is 6' and 160 lbs. No issue with him maneuvering in the very confined water heater space. Thanks for the info dronthelake!
