Default Helm seat replacement

Newbie owner here of 2000 3300. Loving the boat. Loving the forum and all the great advice and comments I have found so far. We now have a question significant other and I are hoping someone can help with. He wants a new helm seat with a bolster. Has found the seat he wants but having a problem figuring out how to get to the hardware of the original seat to remove it. Hoping someone has had some experience with this and can advise. Thanks for the Help!

I believe you have to remove the ceiling panel in the mid-cabin in order to get at the mounting nuts and washers for the seat.

Thanks for the response.

That is what he was afraid of and as hoping to avoid. He Was able to get the seat off the slide bracket so far and at this point planning to cut the bolts with a grinder or saws all because he plans to build it a little higher and has a new slide bracket for the seat as well.

If he decides to pull the ceiling down are there any tricks to make it easier?
