Default fuel sending unit for 3200 scr

Anyone ever replace a bad fuel sending unit in a 3200 SCR?
It's a pretty deep tank, 35 inches.
I pulled out the bad one, it's not original as it only reaches 24 inches.

I was able to insert mine by removing the table post plate in the deck, right above the tank. If you have the table post plate, then you should be able to get in into the tank.

Thank you so much. The mechanic was thinking he had to remove the tank. I’ll let him know.

Here is my thread on these 3200 fuel tanks => http://www.maxumownersclub.com/forum...nder-8345.html

If your tank is anything like mine, it may have a short sender in it, where it doesn't reach anywhere near the bottom of the tank. My old sender was 24 inches, and my tank is around 35 inches. This left nearly 1/3 of the thank unmeasurable by the sender, which is roughly 60 gallons. When the gauge read empty, maybe my tank had 60 gallons, or none, or somewhere in the middle.

They now have long sending units that can reach all the way to the bottom. On your tank there should be a label with the manufacturer and model. I changed mine 2 years ago, and the manufacturer in Florida was still in business. He sold me the sender, but there are also others on the market such as Liquid Sensors - Marine Diesel, Fuel, or Water Level Sensor
