Wondering if anyone has installed a Hurley H20 davit on their 4600 or any other ones that leave the swim platform relatively open with tender off i.e. removable mounts. Would like as much access to board the boat as possible. The "Seawise" looks great, but I would rather not spend that much.
I have the original Hurley Davit. It worked well though it's kind of falling apart. I have friends with both the H2O & H3O. They are both good. H3O is easier to pull up a heavy tender (They even have a HD version for console RIBs). I like the DinghyRamp™ HD+ better than the H2O. Asides from the H30 you need two people or a block & tackle to get the dingy onboard.
Will check into the DingyRamp HD+. Glad you mentioned the H20 would take two to pull ones dingy aboard. Mine does weigh about 200 total pounds, so that was a concern.
Thanks so much
You will need two people or a block & tackle to bring your dink up with the exception of H3O which has its own winch. I tie the end of my block & tackle to one of the support posts on the bridge and let it hang down when I'm pulling it up solo
Hey just buying a 4600. And it has a hoist and tender on the bow, wife wants the
Bow cushion, I was wou wondering how the boat planes with it the stern.? And love to connect with some of 4600 owners
You will need tabs full down. I had a small Caribe RIB with a Yamaha 15 on the platform. I don't think the dink really had much effect. I typically needed full tabs even without the dink.
