Default Cockpit bar sink

Just wondering, our new to us 2004 3100se has the cockpit bar sink plumbed to hot water.
Are they all like that or something the previous owner did?

Hot and cold? Or JUST hot? Either would be non-standard, however the latter would be just weird. If the latter, I'm guessing he tapped into the hot side instead of the cold side accidentally.

No clue where the OP is located but when my boat sits in 100* + temps for a while all you get out of any tap is hot water....

Boat is in southern Wisconsin, cockpit sink has single lever goes up or down, definitely hot water. Cabin sinks work normally. I'll check manuals, maybe there's a reference in them. It's great for washing hands though

I have never seen a single source tap (On/Off) be anything but 'cold only'.

Note that they are all advertised as 'Cold Only'.

That is something that was either installed incorrectly, or modified for some odd reason.

Thanks Shrew, not sure what's going on, seems like if I leave the faucet on it cycles between cold water and hot water. I guess I'm going to have to start tracing water lines
