Choosing Dinghy Davits.... - Maxum Boat Owners Club

Has anyone installed dinghy davits on the swim platform... and how do they work for you? also what kind do you have? I'm trying to decide which ones to get. I have a Maxum 3500 sy with the extended swim platform.... any feedback is appreciated...

We used standard Weaver davits which means the dinghy is on it's side. We have a 2 stroke motor so we leave it on the dinghy ( on it's side). This set up doesn't take much room but you can't haul a very big dinghy this way - our is 10' with a 15 hp.

the problem I have with the Weaver Davits is that I have an extended swim platform therefore I can't lean the dinghy on my transom wall... is too far from the end of the platform...I have a 10 ft with 9.9hp 2 stroke...thanks

I used Sea-Wise Davits from www.davitsystem.com. They do custom work and had not done a 3500 Maxum before. Now that they (Sea-Wise) have the pattern it should be easier. A lot of people have said it is the coolest install on the lake. I would attach a jpg but I don't know how. If you need more info let me know
