Default 96 3200SCR drive rotation ?

So I am repowering this 96 3200SCR, I recently purchased (stole) and this thought arises.
The engines/drives are 7.4L Bravo 3's. Is the port drive supposed to be counter rotation from the starboard drive? (Kinda weird with counter-rotating props on each drive)
The prop sets are identical on each drive.
I've never seen this boat run so I have not a clue.
What's the norm for this?
Happy fourth!

With B3's they are set up the same rotation as each having dual props that counter rotate cancel themselfs out.

Post some pictures of the project.

I guess I'll just keep this thread going as I repower and do some maintenance.
I am about to remove the gimbal housings, replace one (or both) of the steering pins, bushings, etc., sand off some corrosion, then repaint.

Another quick question, and observation.
I've rebuilt/restored several twins before, but have never seen a power steering pump on both engines. The port engines pump is simply plumbed to itself, so it's not really there for any reason. Did the previous owner simply not have a smaller v-belt, so he could do without it, or is there more to it?
Happy 4th of July weekend!

This is a typical installation, boat builders use the same engine in both locations. Since only one pump is required they loop the PS line back to the pump.

Stern drive engines are just made this way.

Doesn't seem to make sense, having the engine turn something that doesn't serve any purpose.

Economics, only have to stock one engine design. This is cheaper because it's the same engine for single and twin setups .

Lets take an opinion poll.
Since I have both engines out, getting new blocks, complete rebuilds, going to (full) close cool, would you go ahead and add thru hull water intakes for each engine?
Have the parts, easy to do now, will provide A LOT more water for cooling.
In the bilge already is:
AC fitting, Generator fitting, toilet (I think) fitting.
Starting to run out of boat for all these thru hull fittings!

If you have the thru hulls and strainers as well as room to install them that will have easy access and clean water flow.

The bravo water tube can clog in the transom assembly due to the insert they use to hold the hose in place.

Next! What are these (2) loose pieces for on the bottom stainless bar on the gimbal ring? I've never seen them before on others.

The port drive is the same. Looks like it's supposed to be there.

I looked on some parts listings but could not find them, yet they look OEM.

Guess I cannot hurt to leave them but I would paint them.

Found it! They are part of the Trim Down Limit.

So the drive hits them and they prevent it from trimming down any further?
