Default 4600 scb window bars

Does anyone know how to remove these? They appear to be held on by two screws but these just turn, I don't really want to strip out all the internal cladding.

If they just spin, then the are not screws, but rather bolts with a nut on the back. This means the nut is spinning on the backside. You're going to need to figure out how to get to the underside of the bolts. In the case of the midship cleats, The bolted then on, then installed the headliner. The headliner covers the nuts, so the headliner had to be cut. In my case, one was behind the medicine cabinet in the head, then other was under the headliner inside of the galley cabinets. I lucked out because the cut in the headliner is hidden.

Good luck.

Yes, that's what I thought. Rather than cut or strip out the liner I was thinking of drilling out the bolt head and making up a sort of elongated nut so as I can put that on the stud which would be left, that would then give me a nut on the outside of the fibreglass top sides. Hopefully I could then put a new bolt through the rails into this.
Bit of a gamble to see if it would work!
