Default 4600 SCB Bow Pad

Hi All, I'm a new owner to a 4600SCB and am wondering if there is any company out there that still makes the bow pad or if I would have to have it custom made?

Ahoy.. Capt. Kirk welcome to this great website.

B. is your right answer. Talk to your local canvas person and hopefully they can fix you right up.

I hope that is the logical answer you were expecting :-)

Iantan welcome to the website and I'm sure if you beam those pics up to Capt. Kirk of your bitch pad he will appreciate that.

Live long and prosper :-)

Thanks for the reply, yep I figured I would probably have to do it local. My boat is in transport this week so I wanted to be a head of the game on getting things done on it. Seems it takes a whole season when it comes to canvas and upholstery.

Yes, I can understand that. I believe I have the only 4600scb in the UK so nobody has patterns. It would appear that I'm on roughly a ten week lead in for a new cockpit cover

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for a 1997 4600?

Can't find one? They are alot of generic fluff. Get a clymer's manual for your drives and engines.

Got questions about how to get to something etc etc etc.....let us know and others will try to help.

I finally just got the boat which was supposed to happen 6 weeks ago. Now I am trying to learn where everything is and how things were run. I have a few fix it projects and a good manual would be a start.

This is a link to the 4600 supplement http://www.maxumboatparts.com/manuals/1706511.pdf

I've found it useful to track pipe work etc and know where the various seacocks are.

I do have the full manuals in the boat if you want something specific,

Ian, That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a ton. It makes for a good starting point. What year is your boat?

Mine is an early one, 97 build 98 launch.

I've updated the lights, I just used bulbs. Like you guys I was a few fittings short due to the paint flaking or peeling off. I managed to swop the fittings around and have the bad ones in the guest head, I painted them white so they don't look too bad but I'll need to source some replacements.

I updated the toilets to modern electric flush and replaced the old sanitary hoses. I still need to do some hoses but access isn't easy as I'm sure some of you will be aware.

In the next few weeks I'm planning on adding teak decks to the aft cockpit, bathing platform and fly bridge. In addition I'm going to fit new covers.

I'll post some progress shots if anyone is interested,

Cheers,

Ian

Hi Ian, I’m hoping to find more manuals, I have the supplement. Whatever you can share is appreciated.
Thanks Comox BC
