We will let you do the work here. Google test run on what year ,engines and all that other good stuff your boat is about
and I bet you will come up with something. Most boaters will ask why you want to know? What is the point beside they all use a lot of gas. You are in the wrong hobby and with that size of boat if you are worried about gas mileage.

And welcome to the website glad you are here! You got a nice boat.

Roger

Brent welcome aboard.

What engines, gas or diesel? As Roger suggested Google tests for your boat and see what you get. While there are members with big boats here the number is much lower than the 30's and under

Understood...thank you...yes I understand this size is not going to be good for fuel, just wanted to hear from an owner to verify everything I've been reading on the Internet for past several months...and to see if anyone has potential problems, something that I can look for and hopefully rule out

If I actually added it all up, I'd never boat.

Brent152,

Do not feel bad about being conscientious about fuel cost or anything else. I am a very frugal boater and I take pleasure in boating cheaper than 99% of my buddies at the dock. I currently own a 1999 4100 SCA. I have owned it 2.5 years and have continued to monitor my fuel consumption very close. I log all of my trips and keep track of my gallons of fuel that I purchase. There is a website that I will link at the bottom of my message that you may want to look at. It will give an idea of fuel consumption calculator for the various size mercruiser motors. If you have diesel, I am sure there is another website that has a diesel calculator.

The key is finding the sweet spot. Every boat has an rpm / trim tab combination that provides the most efficient yet most speedy travel for the fuel consumption. My 4100s sweet spot is at 1600 - 1800 RPMs with the trim tabs slightly down (maybe 4 inches off vertical). This moves me along at 8.3 to 8.5 MPH. I have twin 7.4 L MPIs.

I will also add that well maintained engines get much better fuel economy. Fresh filter, plugs, fuel, and fuel treatment are all very helpful.

Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. I am pretty knowledgeable of the 4100 SCA.
