Default 3300 Water in bilge

I have a 2005 3300, I am getting some water in the bilge after use. The boat lives in water and nothing is coming in when it's sitting in the pen, but after taking her out, I am getting maybe a gallon of water? Nowhere near enough to trigger the bilge pump.

I can't identify a leak readily, and I had my mechanic out for a look. There is some corrosion at the starboard Y pipe, but cant see signs of an active water leak.

Any thoughts? Or tips or tricks to try?

Try running the engines first and hour while the boat is sitting in the slip to see if any 2ater accumulates in the bilge. This will tell you if it related to the engine operating such as a hose, exhaust,… vs the transom assemblies leaking as the boat squats into the water when on plane.

That's a great idea. My transom assemblies aren't in perfect shape, although my mechanic doesn't think its an imminent job, it's possible they are letting some water in.

Look for signs of water intrusion at the top of the transom assemblies where the steering lever is. Common leak is the swivel shaft seal there.

There is corrosion, I can't see signs of active water dripping down though but will monitor. My mechanic says there isn't a rush getting them done as the steering is still tight and he has seen far worse. That said, I'll be getting them done sooner rather than later, was hoping to get through this summer and have them done in time for next summer (I'm in Australia, so that means getting them done around July/August).

That should be fine.

I had a similar issue on my old boat.

The fitting with the blue plastic drain plugs was leaking where it screwed into the bottom of one of my exhaust risers was leaking. it no longer felt screwed in all the way. I got a new part with the white thread lock, screwed it in and fixed something I wish I had fixed a lot sooner.

Hope it's that for you.
