Post 2002 3100 SCR Battery Wiring

My 2002 3100 has three batteries, and I'm trying to find out the correct way they should be wired. There are two battery switches (4 position; 1, 2, both, off), one labelled "House" and the other labelled "Engines"; however they both need to be on for the engines to crank. Also I have a generator and it appears one battery is for the generator, but all three batteries are wired together for charging purposes, which makes them susceptible to all dying together (it's happened and I couldn't even start the generator).

The manual doesn't have detailed wiring diagrams. Any thoughts on how the three batteries should be wired to take advantage of both battery switches and generator?

Thank you!
