Default 2000 4100 scb

im in negotiations for a 2000 4100 scb. what are some of the things to look out for. each boat has general things that go wrong with them. i am getting a survey but i find most i have read or seen dont really show what the issues with each brand and model have, so i have come to the owners group which i hopew to be a part of soon.

No issues that I’m aware of that aren’t common to any boat. Looks for wet stringers and engine health.

On a 24 yr old boat, it's more about maintenance and condition. Expect most mechanical things to work during the survey, and also expect to be replacing those same mechanical things within the next 3 years.

I'd be more focused on damage that can't be easily fixed, over all condition, softspots and water ingress. Expect a 10 yr old, or 1,000 hr gas inboards to be potentially close to needing a repower. Diesels are more like 5K+ hrs.
