Default 1999 3700 SCR starboard wiper motor replacement questions

Has anyone had to replace the starboard wiper motor on a 1999 3700 SCR. The headliner needs to be removed from in the cabin on the starboard side under the windshield. Has anyone removed the headliner that can explain the how best to do it. I just need to remove enough to gain access to the motor. I need to be able to put back in place without it looking like it was removed. Also any wiper motor part number and supplier information is needed as well. Thanks for any and all help!

Did you ever get it fixed? I have the same problem, on the same boat.

The head liner should be held in place by Velcro.

NOPE. I tried removing a light, and looking, but there are two sheets of fiberglass soaked plywood.

The lower one has the vinyl wrapped around it. I pried on the edges, and got it to move 1/4 inch before it took enough force to break something.

The upper one I was able to see through the crack, had a 1 foot square hole in it full of wires.

There appears to be a rigid connection between the two sheets, like a screw, or bolt. (I wasn't able to see, or find it, but it seemed that way by the force required to pry the bottom sheet.)

If it WAS Velcro prying it 1/4" should have caused it to let loose.

I'm going to try again next weekend removing all the lights incase the light screws are long enough to hold the two sheets together, or maybe some of the lights hide the connections.

I found the hidden screws, they are located 1 inch under the vinyl behind every light.

Unscrewing all the salon lights, followed by pulling back the vinyl near each light hole, exposes the screws.

Pulling the motor was a complicated, enduring job, to unscrew the hidden out of sight 3/8 bolts on the top of the bracket that hold the motor in place.

In retrospect it would have been easier to pay a person with a squeegee.
