1998 4100 sca
Hi All,
I have been boat shopping for awhile. I know a fair amount about what makes a quality boat. ie., Hatteras vs. Carver.
I am considering a 4100 SCA. I looked at one previously and was very disappointed. None of the interior cabinets latched, and would just fly open. The door to the forward bunk dragged on the carpet. The plastic trim along the floor wells of the fly bridge were cracked at every mounting point. One of the supports for the aft deck hardtop was cracked. And numerous other issues that scared me away.
However, the more reviews I read about these boats, it seems like they are really well built, and most owners don;t have major issues with them.
Now there is another 4100 SCA in my area for sale, with the Cummins power. I am really considering checking it out. Perhaps the first one I saw was just neglected?
I want an affordable boat - But I do not want something built of poor quality geared to be sold to an incoherent buyer.
In all, what do you think of the 4100 SCA with Cummins? Good Boats?
