Default Windshield Glass Replacement / 2700SE

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2008 2700SE and was docked at one of the local marinas with the center windshield window open. it was about noon with the sun directly overhead. I had just stepped back on the boat when the port side glass started shattering into pieces. Has anyone ever had this happen before ?? I'm thinking the center glass was somehow heating the glass behind it with the direct sunlight... Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find a replacement glass. Thanks

Well stranger things have happened. Contact your insurance agent first, but Taylor Made, which is the maker of your window, has a factory in Florida to make you a new port glass. Google Taylor Made cause I forgot. Good luck!

Get a hold of Taylor Made first.

I would have them check the fame for any failure points. I doubt the heat of the sun would cause the window to shatter. More likely the frame flexed when you stepped on the boat causing tress on the glass.

I was thinking the same thing. Does the walk, through windshield fit too tightly?
