windless

morning guys,
i have power going to the windless but its giving me a not grinding noise,,, but letting the anchor out it does not move, i get a zzzzzzzz sound,,,, sorry best way to decribe it,

any ideas

Happen to me once when the chain was caught inside the gypsy and the shroud. Mine is a Simpson 600. Had to jerk on the anchor chain to free it while depressing the down button.

it happens even when i hold the rope and chain completely away from the winless

the windless is basically a winch you find on the front of a jeep.

its possible you have a broke overload spinal, which is a plastic gear under the nub pulley.

Pull off the top and see what turing.
