Mine is on a 2004 3100se and it has a tension arm. It was broken off when I bought the boat and was also missing a part called a stripper, I was able to obtain both parts and get the windlass working. There are some new part numbers and Lewmar was able to send me the numbers which I bought from a dealer called Crowleys near Chicago.
Hope this helps

Mine was missing because it had the filler piece instead because his anchor rode was all chain, no arm needed. I ended up finding one, but they bent me over on the price! WOW!

Weird. The windlass works with chain with the part installed. It comes installed by default (TMK). Removing it because its not needed only serves to limit its functionality. Why bother?

I thought the same thing. But that is what the rep at Lewmar told me. Get this the spring, arm and mounting screw for the newer ones is only $10. Lewmar charges $152 for mine because it is a discontinued item. Thats total BS!
