Default Transducer install

Getting winter projects lined up, going to install a Garmin Transducer on my 2004 3100SE and hooking it to a 742xs, does anyone know if bottom and transom are cored or solid fiberglass. Probably installing transom mount, I know there are pros and cons to both.
Thanks all

The transom is wood cored and the bottom is solid glass.

Thanks mmwjr, you seem to have a lot of experience with Maxums, I still am learning.
I'm still evaluating transom or thru hull.
