Default Trailer needed for 3000scr

I'm probably buying a 2000 3000scr and there no slips available at home for 2 years. I need a trailer for it. Anyone with a 30 footer know where I can buy one? Brand and model please. Some of the places i have contacted say "sure, we have a trailer I'm sure we can make work". Not going to play guessing games with 13,000#.
Thanks very much

DZ.......I have a 2001 3000SCR and I bought a used shorelander trailer three years ago. First good luck! Too find a used one for that size.......well it took me almost a year and ahalf. If money is no object look for a aluminum trailer around 18,000lbs limit with the 4 x 4 bunks next to the wheels set-up. This well fit about anything.

E bay has a bunch no less than 15000ibs limit.......4-6 thousand. They are great to have if you ever what to sell the boat.

Good luck!

Thanks. Money is an object. I've found a few at $16k. No thanks.

I got mine five years ago for my 2001 2900 SCR (7,300 lbs dry). Triple axle with electric over hydraulic (I think it's called?) brakes for about $6K if I remember correctly. I bought Endless Summer in Lake of the Ozarks, MO and hauled it back 1,700 miles to the Pacific NW ON that trailer. Trailer's been fantastic, it tows GREAT behind my under-rated Suburban (8,600 lbs towing capacity). I'm at 11K lbs fully loaded behind the Suburban. The guy delivered it for another $500, right to the marina from Ohio I think they're located at. Pirate Marine was the name of the company... try them; http://piratemarine.net/

Good luck!

Bunks. Yikes, that would seem like a lot of boat to slide up carpeted bunks when you need to haul her out. I understand a trailer with rollers would probably be more expensive though. If you're in saltwater, then aluminum would almost be a must in my opinion. Can you crank a boat that large up the bunks by hand, or do you need an electric winch?

Shrew.........In my own past experiences I drive right up to the bow winch with my 3000SCR without a problem. Years of practise, I quess... Or I have had the marina power wash the bottom then place it on the trailer in the fall. The rollers are almost a thing of the past.

The trailer that I was talking about might to easiest to fit his boat. The shorelander trailer that I bought I had to have all the bunks and supports rewelded because they were not in the right place. I have used a aluminum trailer with the 4x4 bunks right next to the wheel wells and it fits great for the Maxum bottom.

I did look on ebay last night and there isn't much to choose from in the big lbs 15,000 and over trailers. Used triple axles are hard to find especially in the fall, when everybody wants one for winter storage.

I was facing the same delima early spring when I bought my 2000 3000scr that didn't have a trailer. I'm in Ky and the boat was @ Lake Norman. I had one made @ Pirate Marine in Ohio. They shipped it to the location of the boat and then it was delivered to me on that trailer. The man that delivered it said it pulled like a dream for that size boat. Mine is galvonized and has 16K cap. I paid 5679.00. U can spend a lot of time looking and you'll find that the difference of used and new will send you to get the new one. Pirate marine 330-547-0005. It does have the bunks,I've heard some horror stories about the ones with rollers.

I am with you Biggerseagar a triaxial trailer with bunks is the only way to go with this size boat. The draft on the 3000 isn’t that big so floating her off and on isn’t a big deal. The 2 x guide post at the back of the trailer is a must; it just makes the job of getting her back on the trailer a lot easier. I put some reflector tape on the posts at her float off depth so when I revers the trailer back into the water I have a guide when to stop
