Default Systems Manual

We just purchased a 2000 Maxum SCR, 30'. It did not come with a systems manual. We would like either find one to purchase or find a local owner who has one we can borrow, duplicate and return.

Can anyone steer us in the right direction? We are in Alexandria VA on the Potomac River. Thank you. Doug Phillips

Welcome to the forum Doug .....as a owner of a 01 3000 I can tell you for a fact these so called owners manual are a joke. Very very basic and not specific enough to be worth anything. But with all that said you still need to know all that stuff.

Where did you purchase your boat? If at a marina get them to show you how things work. Hire a surveyor , the previous owner?

Last but not least ask your questions here....we love that!

You might Google your manual and have some luck or go document so and see if you can find there. They are out there

Good luck .

Thanks for the info. The dealer, Dominion Yachts, cannot find one, nor can the owner. I have one manual but the one I am looking for has the location of the all equipment like switches, hoses, tanks, etc. We have googled with no luck so far. We had a surveyor and I am slowly going over the boat piece by piece to learn locations. But the manual might be helpful to have. So if anyone can get a hold of one, I would like to borrow and copy it. Thanks!!

Default Maxum

not sure where the document section on the web is. Went to a Maxum site and what we got was Bayliner stuff. I didn't pursue it at the time.

Will look at Maxum customer care.

Thanks for all the ideas.

Top left of this page click on Documents. Then look for your boat, may not find your year but little difference if a few years off.

Try the DOCUMENTS section at the top of every screen. The other option is the SEARCH feature.

It looks like someone posted the general owners manual for that year:

http://www.maxumownersclub.com/forum...?do=file&id=14

Maxum Customer Care:

http://www.maxumcustomercare.com/
  1. Go to the PARTS CATALOGUE
  2. Select the year 2000
  3. Select SPORT CRUISER in the left-hand window pane
  4. Select 3000 SCR in the Lef-Hand Window Pane.
There are a number of 'schematics' (I use that term loosely) through-out the parts catalogue. That will show you where the majority of parts are located. It doesn't look like Maxum is posting many owners manuals either. There is a section there if you want to take a look.

Thanks to everyone who helped us out on the service and owner's manuals. We found them and have printed them off. I hope I can pass something on to another owner at some point. Safe boating!

We're all glad to help.

Post some picture of the boat and enjoy the season.
