Refrigerator Brand

Hey all, anyone know what the brand name is of the refrigerator in a 2004 2500 SE? Or who I could contact to find out?

I'm trying to find a couple replacement door racks and the boat is not available at the moment.

My 97 2800 is a Norcold as well. I think that is fairly standard.

My '90 is also a Norcold.

I have a question about these, how often does yours cycle on/off? Mine seems to cycle on every few minutes, then off for a minute or three, then on again... never ending.

I didn't think it should cycle so often.

Yes, I understand that this depends on how full the refrigerator is, the outside temperature, etc.

But mine is keeping me up at night (it was about 50 F last night) with all the cycling on/off.

If mine is cyling a lot, does that mean I'm short on coolant or some other issue? Mine does get cold enough to freeze water in the 'freezer' section and seems to be working both on AC and DC.

Has anyone ever noticed how often your's cycles on and off?

well...I'm only guessing cuz both mine cycle alot also....but due to the small size....and limited insulation...I imagine that is the reason they cycle often.....

if it freezes water..then it's not low on coolant.....just sorta thinkin outloud.....but I'd say it's normal...

Perhaps I'll have to try sound insulate the rear of the cabinet.

Rich - we have the same boat. We should keep in touch, as I have been slowly fixing up my 2700 SCR over the past few years and have learned a lot, but have a lot more to learn. My Norcold works great on 12V. I would say it cycles on rarely at night when you are not opening the door. maybe a few times during the night. I would suggest you need a refridgerant recharge. My Norcold is pretty loud though. It vibrates the hull like a subwoofer.

I noticed yesterday that when I plug in and turn the 110 breaker on, the fridge does not work at all. It cuts out as soon as I flip the breaker. Does anyone know if there is any other fuse or circuit breaker between the panel and the Norcold?

there is another fuse on top of the unit ...you have to pull the unit out and check the relay for the 12vdc/120vac .......sometimes that burns out....

I pulled my norcold out the other day and didn't notice a fuse behind it, or on top of it, but I'll have to check again. It does vibrate a bit. I tried to tighten the two top rubber dampers. There are four rubber dampers/mounts on the compressor. Two of them (the bottom two) seem to be free floating on a pin. The top two have a captive push on keeper. I tightened the keeper a bit. I'm not sure if it will help with the vibration. My guess is that the rubber is getting old and stiff and it needs to be replaced. I wonder if I can get a replacement from Norcold?

I'll try to see if I can find someone that can recharge this, or check it at least. As I mentioned, it gets cold, but seems to constantly cycle on/off. Perhaps I'll try to time the cycling.

Rich I would like to re-state my comments about my Norcold not cycling at night. I slept on boat last weekend for the first time in 2 years and I was listening for it. It definitely cycled a lot more than a few times during the night. I would say every 10-15 minutes. I got used to it though. You just have to go to bed half drunk.
