Rear Sunpad Setup

I have a 2001 3000 scr and am trying to figure out how to setup the rear sunpad. I have the 3 boards and the filler cushions....I tried sliding them in under the seats in to the slots but they don't seam to fit...is there a trick I am missing?

There are a few 3000 owners so hopefully one of them can help.

I would suspect there would be a slot or lip about 4”s below the seat cushions for the fillers to sit on. Can you post a picture?

There is a slot underneath but I can't seem to get the filler board in the slots.....they are too wide to just slide in directly.....i figure there must be a trick I am missing.

Are the slots on both sides? If so one side is probably different that you install into first then the other.
