On board water system leaking
Hello everyone, and greetings from Vancouver Island! Well, boating season is not far off now, and I've discovered what seems to be a 'house water system' leak on the port side where the water heater is located. Does anyone have or know where to find a diagram or manual that shows the routing and fittings for this system?
I have a 1997 2800 scr, 7.4L Mercruiser w/Bravo III leg.
I've confirmed that it is definitely fresh water, but have yet to trace the source of the leak.
Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated!
cheers,

Did you check the filter that is located between the tank and the pump. This sometimes gets overlooked in the fall, freezes and cracks

what time...I can swing over and help......as for the leak..check the fittings at the sinks in the head and galley...when the lines freeze...sometimes it will push the fittings open and water will leak out.....
had that happen on my 2700scr...

Thanks for the offer SP. I'll be bringing a "pilot" with me from the Bremerton Yacht Club as this will be my first time at the helm of a twin engine vessel. Inbound tides peak at 12:11 and I want to have her safely moored in her Poulsbo slip around then.
The Admiral and I will be there tomorrow (Sat) morning to put the new name and port of hailing on her. We have a truck mounted carpet cleaner showing up at 1. I figure, what better time to get the carpets cleaned than when she's on blocks.
My mechanic just finished with the following work:
- Brand new Port engine installed; 350 Gen+
- San Juan complete cooling systems installed on both engines.
- Both outdrives serviced with all new software & fluids, anodes replaced and shaft lubed.
- Stbd engine tuneup, and all fuel/fuel separator filters replaced.
- New starter batteries.
Maybe I'll see you around sometime.
-Mitch

Thanks SP. We launch at 9; going to fuel up at the Everett fuel docks before crossing the sound.

Weather was a bit nasty, but she was safely moored in Poulsbo prior to the really nasty winds rolled in.
