Default new to me 93 2200 scr

Anyone have access to some info?
I recently purchased a 93 model 2200 (or maybe 2300) SCR. (Bow rider)
It has a 454 big block and a Bravo one drive.

I havent been able to find much info on this model boat with that size engine drive.
It needs a few pieces here and there so any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jim Crews

boat size is relative, and the drive train is common to all.

Actually, that's a huge motor for a 23 foot boat.... 50 mph... and will blow your hair back...

what are you looking for?

Hi Speakerdude, welcome aboard!!!!

The Mercruiser 454 and Bravo line of drives have been around for a long time. While Maxum and Mercruiser are both owned by Brunswick corp. many other boat builders use Mercruiser engines and drives. The 454 has also been around for quite some time. PArts are readily available for both. Boats aren't like buying a car, where the year make model of the vehicle dictates the parts. It's only the year, make and model of the engine and drive that really matter.

As for misc. boat parts, MAxum makes the hull and deck, however a company named Todd makes the tables and posts. Perko makes the cleats and NAv lights. Bomar makes the hatches. Jabsco makes the head and water pumps. Whale makes the faucets. Norcold makes the fridge. Seaward makes the hotwater heater. Origo makes the stoves. Faria makes the guages. I'm sure you saw my point 5 examples ago.

As far as construction, boats are pretty much boats. So there's really not much you need to know about the specific model of boat. I know a LOT of guys get a boat, then search feverishly for a manual. A boat manual is not like a car manual where it's going to give you basic maintenance tasks and specs. This comes in the engine and drive service manuals which need to be bought seperately. This is why so many used boats never come with a manual, becuase the original owner realized it was basically useless and tossed/misplaced it long ago.

Best of luck. Let us know if you have any questions or problems and we'd be happy to assist.

Yeah, I'm not new to boat rebuilding, have done several, Merc's, Volvo's, etc. Sea Rays, Bayliners, Maxums.
But I cannot find where this model boat was ever offered with a big block and a Bravo. Maybe I just havent been able to find the info. I will end up calling Brunswick with the hull numbers to get clarification, when we slow done a little in my other day job!

I am looking for a center (opening type) window, and a center push button for the throttle. If anyone has or knows of any part outs, let me know.
Thanks all!
Jim

there you have it.......

i don't think that engine/ boat combo is original.

That engine is way to big for that boat.....

You're going to find you have a home made retro fit.

A very fast one....

If it's a 2300, I do belive the 454 was a factory option.

Not sure if this is relevant but my last boat was an '89 Maxum 2350 bowrider with a 454 and bravo 1. It was all stock. and yes, I hit 62mph several times...
