Default New member, Capacity decal?

Hello everyone, I just signed up for my first forum so please be patient, I’m learning.
Purchased a 2007 2400SE about a month ago and I’ve been working on it nonstop since.
I have one question, the person capacity decal is missing and I can’t seen to find the correct capacity of my boat. Some specs say 8 persons and others say 12, does anyone know what’s correct? (Standard seating)
Thanks Charlie.

Welcome aboard!

The number of passengers does mean much what you really need is the boats weight capacity which is most likely where the 8 - 12 passengers is coming from.

I found a company that will print a new tag but I need the correct information. If someone with the same year and model could take a picture it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Do a search for similar boats for sale and call the seller and ask them to confirm what their capacity plate states....

I just bought a 2008 2900 SE. The decal that I have only says "Yacht Capacity". It is my understanding that this, more or less, leaves the decision on total loading to the Captain's discretion (?). Perhaps someone else may have a better definition of what that means.

It may not have had a capacity plate. Only required on boats less than 20 feet.

I just checked, New York State requires a capacity plate up to 26’.
Does anyone have the same year/model boat that they can send a pic?
(2007 2400SE)
I’ve been looking at the same models for sale and it looks like the capacity is 12 persons (can’t find a clear picture) but I need all the other information on the tag to get another one printed.
Thanks everyone for there help

The 20 feet and less is a federal requirement for boat manufacturers. This link from NYS also references less than 21 feet. I'm pointing this out as it is unlikely that Maxum ever put a capacity plate on that boat. I can tell you from decades of boating experience I think you would really push the limits to have 12 adults on a boat that size. Weight not number is the critical factor. . https://parks.ny.gov/recreation/boat...perations.aspx
