Default My First Boat. 2002-2500SCR

Looking to retire and saw the boat for sale. (700 miles and 2 provinces away.)
240 original hours on a 5.0 MPI engine.

Sure could use some help????
1.Trying to remove table in cabin, but wont turn by hand???.
Anyone know which way the bottom hub turns to lower the table, or is there another way to remove it???

2. Bimini tops seems to be missing locking pins, and machine crews.
Anyone know the sizes off hand.???

Changed oil,( He was running 5-30???), now is Quick Siver 20-40.
Changed plugs ( Biggest gap I have ever seen. (probably original).
Boat runs great now.
Not sure if any other pressing things I should check, besides maybe no speedometer working.

Any way, love the boat best purchase I have ever made, already made a week long trip in Kelowna, and been out ever weekend since.

Without a doubt best time of my life.
Look forward to meeting more friendly boat enthusiasts.
Grant

Default My first perspective boat

We've got a couple things in common. I'm about ready to purchase a 2008 2900 SE following a sea trial this Friday 7/10. Boat appears to be well taken care of, and kept mostly in fresh water, so we're just hoping for a green light from the Marine Surveyor.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

A picture of the table would help. Typically they are a pole that slips into the bottom of the table an a recessed base plate...If directional (I've never seen one that was ) then twist it counter clock wise.....

If you don't have maintenance records I'd suggest at least swapping out the impeller.

Thanks did the impeller after reading in the forums, before becoming a member.
The boat is couple hours away, so no pictures.
I will try and figure it out.
Thanks for the suggestions,.

In that era it is most commonly threaded on the base in the floor and 'push-on' on the table end. They are quite often reluctant to get out. The aluminum pipe should have a black plastic fitting. IF the fitting has a small flange, it is a twist. If no flange, then a push. If a push type, try a deadblow hammer. Some penetrating oil and a strap wrench for the threaded end. I've never seen threaded on both ends, but anything is possible.

Ignore the Speedo, provided it's not dumping water in the dash. They are inaccurate and troublesome. GPS is far more accurate.

Make sure the bellows are in decent shape.

Thanks for everyone's help.
I will try the table this weekend.
I have no idea what the bellows is, so I will see whats up.
Cheers.
