Default Models 3000-3300 Explained?

Hello everyone,

Boat shopping right now for a 2000s 30-33'ish cruiser.

Could someone please explain the model differences from 3000scr-3300scr? I find it hard to believe they made 4 different boats at the same time 1' apart? I assume there are some generational changes like sea ray and regal changing the numbers despite maintaining the size, but I can't find a breakdown in google at all.

Any recommendations between them? Gotchas or must haves? I had originally discounted the line because no U-shape lounger meant no filler for a sun pad, but then noticed the lay down back-to-back. Interesting.

Cheers!

Dan

Oops, can't edit the post for some reason. I've figured out the 3100 and 3300 are the newer generations after around 2000 something.

Any options between the 2 or specific years/options are welcome!

Thanks,
Dan

Yup. The 3000 is shorter and narrower than the 3200 of the same vintage. The newer models are the 3100 and 3300. The layout of the 3100 is quite different than the 3000 but the 3200 and 3300 are very similar. The 3300 switched to the forward swept arch while the 3200 has the swept aft arch.

Here is the breakdown of the Sport Cruiser class by year:

1997: 2400; 2700; 2800; 3000; 3200; 4100
1998: 2400; 2700; 2800; 3000; 3200; 4100
1999: 2400; 2700; 2800; 3000; 3200; 3300
2000: 2400; 2700; 2800; 3000; 3300

2001: 2400; 2500; 2700; 2900; 3000; 3300
2002: 2400; 2500; 2700; 2900; 3100; 3300
2003: 2400; 2500; 2700; 2900; 3100; 3300
2004: 2400; 2500; 2700; 2900; 3100; 3300
2005: 2400; 2500; 2700; 2900; 3100; 3300
2006: 2400; 2500; 2700; 2900; 3100; 3300
2007: 2400; 2600; 2700; 3100; 3300

Around 2000 they moved the 3700 and 4100 into the Sport Yacht class. The 2700 and 2800 were very different boats, despite appearing to be only 1 foot in difference. The 2700 was trailable (non-oversized) at 8'6", and had a V shaped settee that converted into the V berth. The 2800 was wider at 9'9" and had a dedicated booth-style settee and a dedicated forward berth. The 2700 only came in a single, while the 2800 had a single big block or twins as optional power.

All other boats had the typical 2-3 foot jump, which is fairly standard in all expresses between 24 - 34 feet.

They layout between the 2800 and 3000 is almost identical in the late 90's. The 3000 was a hair wider and the mid-cabin could convert into a salon.
