I guess you didn't notice the 'sticky' thread at the top of the General Discussion Forum entitled "Sticky: Owners Manuals"

Hi, unfortunately I can't find any manuals for the 2300 SCR in the link above and in the entire document section, do this model is too rare or is sharing the same manuals than an other model ?

Can't find anything on google either... Only fake link for ebook subscriptions

edit: I have a 91 2300 SCR

I think jimq26 might have it , try Sending him a PM. Not much info in these manuals, what you really need is the Mercruiser manuals for the engine and drive which are under Documents.

From what I can see, Maxum only made a 2555 SCR and 2755 SCR in the early '90s. There are other 2300 models, but none in the SCR version (that I know of anyway).

Here's a PDF of the wiring diagram for the 2555 and 2755 SRC models. Hope it might help.

Thanks Jim. I thought there was a 2300 cruiser that was replaced in 1994 by the 2400 SCR but I could be wrong.

I have almost all the Mercruiser manuals.
And most of the manuals for the on board equipment on a 1991 SCR2700.
Let me know if you need one you can't find here, or any other info you need.

I just purchased a 1992 2300 SCR, so they do exist. I am surprised to see there a few of them. Now I want to research and find out just how many were made?

hello, just bought, here in germany, a 1993 2300scr and registered today for that forum. i'm glad to see that such a platform is existing to share info and ask questions and...i've one:
- on my boat the port and starboard oval plexiglas windows are broken and need replacement before end of season. do somebody got an idea where to get some?
regards

Welcome Captain!

I don't think you can find those new anymore.

But you can replace them with lexan (polycatbonate). It is very easy to cut lexan to the shape you need and it is far more stronger and easyer to shape as plexi.

I am in the process to replace the curved deck windows on my 1991 SCR2700.
I have purchased 8mm smokey brown lexan plates from a dutch webshop to start with.
Then made a cardboard template from the original windows on board to cut the plates with a jigsaw.

Next week i am going to make some kind of mold to bend the plates in the right shape, this will be the hard part...

hello axios, thanks for the reply. have found various offers on the internet and will follow your advise. this might be a cheaper and a less stressfull way for a replacement in compariosn for a world wide search. i'll try that and will experience the material polycaronat, brand "lexan" and "makrolon".
all the best for your try to bend the material to bring in shape.

can you please feedback how it went?

We are getting close to buying one. What do current owners think of them?
