Default Looking to buy 2003 2400 scr, advice

Hello all,

I am looking at a 2400 scr and wondering if there are any specific leaks, failures or common problems encountered on this model. The is on a lift and only has 160 hours, but, that alone makes me nervous. Aside from the typical checking around the bilge and knocking the stringers checking for rot, anything else?

Is seems this broad has wood stringers and plywood encapsulated in fiberglass, is this correct?

Thank you for any input

Welcome aboard

I have a 1997 2400 SCR since 2008 and think it's a great boat other than its lack of on deck storage. No issues that any boat could have, yes wood in stringers and transom just like > 95% of the boats out there. I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy it. Mine had 163 hours when I bought it.

Get the boat surveyed by a professional surveyor. It's worth the money to have a professional tell you when its time to walk away.

I was planning on a surveyor, just wondering about any trouble areas with this specific boat. Thanks.
