Update:
Transom assemblies are in, engines are going in. Rusted trim pump brackets are being replaced, along with a corroded section of exhaust tubing. Bottom job is underway, and I am having them bring the line up a couple of inches, as it was too low and I was getting scum on the fiberglass. I sent them pics of another 3000 scr I've seen that was painted this way.
Canvas guy is giving me an estimate to do a temporary repair to a seam that ripped.
I should be getting the boat back 8/28. Almost exactly 2 months after I dropped it off.

Also, I imagine other have the windline 3 step ladder that I have, with the plastic step rungs. There are metal clips which support the steps, and mine were rusted away. Windline sells the clips for about $10, but it was a 2 person job to install them.

Had a massive realization yesterday. Just over 5 years ago, I lost my wife, my job, and all my money. I was on food stamps and couldn't pay my mortgage. Its been a lot of hard work, but I can afford this. Things aren't so bad. I've got a lot to be thankful for.

That was a big loss and fairly quick recovery. Glad to hear you are in a better place enjoy.

Looks shiny but is that a ding on the corner of the swim platform?

Yea, that happened a while ago. The bow line came untied and the boat swung out, 90 degrees to the dock. It punched a small hole on a bolt that supports the dock on the piling. The bolt is parallel to the boat normally, so not an issue. I had also left off the forward spring that day. As a result, we now tie the bow differently, and use backup safety lines, as well as double check each other before we leave the boat.
The lower part of the damage isn't visible when the boat is in the water, and the upper part is just scratches. I plan on sanding it out and re gelcoating it this winter.
Maybe this should go on my lessons learned page.

You sure have a long list of projects.
When will the engines be in?

I thought they would be in last week, but they aren't yet. Might push out another week.
We also have several of the aft u lounge seats in being remade. I would say reupholstered, but we went in because of rotted backs, and decided that the cover was too far gone to reuse. This winter we will probably have the rest of the seats done as well. They said they should be able to match the factory almost exactly, except for the embroidered logos.
Drives are all sanded and painted with drive paint, and they got fresh oil this weekend. Its gonna be like a brand new boat when were done... Fingers crossed...

Me too... On the upside, we did get to skip the brutally hot summer. I actually like winter boating more out here.

We had a hurricane scare last week (Erika), which delayed things. I was content to leave her on land for that. It fizzled, but hauling and blocking boats slowed the marina too.
As of this afternoon, both engines were in, and final plumbing was underway. We are hoping for tomorrow afternoon.
Had a couple of cushions redone. Came out nice.

When she is back, I am embarking on an experiment. I am going to try building a hard top out of 22 gauge steel.
It will be about 100 pounds, and I think the existing framework will be able to support that. Steel I can work, its cheap, repairable, paintable... I'll start a new thread on that build.
Just not enough options or custom top experiments out there.

Yea was watching to see what that storm was going to do as they eventually find there way up here, glad it died out.
Seat look good.
Looking forward to the top project.
