Default Issue with fresh water pump - 2001 - 2400SCR

Another question (sorry, new to me boat has waaaay more toys than my old one had lol).

I filled up my fresh water tank today and was running it. Sink was working great. Then it wasn't lol. Water started trickling off and then stopped. I checked the pump and it was working before but now has stopped. Checked and it is getting power when the water switch is turned on in the cabin. And if I hit it with 12v using my power probe, the pump comes on. There are 2 wires that go to the bottom and what looks like maybe a relay or pressure switch or something. The wire coming in is 12v hot with the switch on. But the one coming out of that pressure switch going up to the pump is not. Wondering if that switch is bad. Is that something that is replaceable, or do I have to replace the whole pump as one unit? Not sure if this makes any difference, but the water seemed to be working fine until I turned on the hot water knob. Then had the above issue regardless of which knob I used. Probably completely unrelated. I have not turned the hot water heater on yet. Just wanted to see if I was getting water flow. Thanks!!!!!

Yes there is a pressure switch to turn the pump off when an established pressure is reached. Have you tried running the faucet in the head? Sometimes the aerator can become clogged.

I have not tried the head faucet yet. The cold knob on that faucet just spins and spins and spins so that was a project down the line lol. Maybe I'll try the hot faucet on that one though and see how it goes.

Yep, got one of those two. So if one line is funky it can mess up all of them?

Shouldn’t, depends on where the water lines split.

Most freshwater pumps do have replacement parts, so a whole new pump isn’t always needed. I’d continue your diagnosis of the switch to be sure.
Since it ran for a bit, the switch must have closed (low pressure) at one point. Find a point near the pump to release any pressure that may be in the lines. See if you get power output from the switch.

As mentioned previously, removing the aerator from the sink faucet would be a good idea, as any crap in the lines could have blocked the flow and built pressure, causing the switch to open

Yuuuup, crap in the aerator!!! Cleaned it out. Ran like a charm. Now I am getting foamy water out of the hot tap though. Cold comes out clear and clean. Was I supposed to flush out the hot water tank or something? It was winterized by the marina of the guy I bought it from. Figured I just had to run water through it....maybe I just need to flush more or is there something else I was supposed to do? I haven't turned the actual tank heater on yet.

Let it run with the breaker off for a while. I’m assuming it’s a std 6 gal unit, so there may be a bit of antifreeze in there. I usually open both hot and cold taps at the farthest point and let them run for a good 15 mins at least.
Also, there is an anode in the tank that may need replacement. Possible some of the sediment and junk In the lines is from it.
