Default Installing Battery up front for Sideshift - 2400SCR

Morning!!Has anyone ever installed a battery up front on a 2400SCR. I have a Sideshift bow thruster on the way, and it recommends a separate battery. I do have the option of running it to my backup cranking battery#2, but I am pricing out the cost of running the 1/0 wire to the back of the boat, and it's going to be pretty damn pricey. Thinking might be better to just have a solo battery up there, and less chance of voltage drop to the thruster system. If anyone has ever put a battery up front for this or similar model boats, can you let me know where you put it? Pics would be awesome!!

Thanks!!!
Dave

If you go forward with installing a battery up front I’m assuming it will be in the cabin under the front berth, if so be careful in picking the battery type. A lead acid battery will release hydrogen gas when charging which is not good in a confined space. AGM is a better option.

Yeah, was already thinking that as well, but thank you for the reminder Mike!
