Default Help my kids really want this fixed

I have a 99 2300 sc and my toe cleat is loose. I can't figure out how to get to it in order to tighten it. Any help will make my 3 kids very happy.

Welcome aboard

Do you have access to the nuts that need to be tightened?

Some folks have had to cut an access hole to get at them and then install a deck plate to fill the hole.

I don't know where I'm suppose to to to go through. I don't see the back cushions coming off and I can't seem to reach around anywhere

Access needs to be directly behind it.

Do you have a sun pad or compartment where bimi goes?

Can you post some pictures?

So the back cushion is probably fixed but does the seat come out and give access? The picture just does not show enough of the interior for me to tell.

That is known as a Towing Eye (gotta love the auto spellcheck).

It is backed with a backing plate and nylon lock nuts. You'll have to find a way to get underneath it as there is where is it affixed. Frequently people will purchase a small deckplate/inspection port. You can get the round kind with a gasket. using a large hole saw, cut a hole to access the backing, then install the access port and close it back up. now you can access it any time you want.

BTW have you tried lifting the back cushions straight UP? sometimes that is how the fixed back cushions are removed.

I pulled on a cushion and pulled one side out there is no access behind the cushion. I don't know how the cushions are even installed. the side that pulled out was a screw head that I pulled right through the board. How in the _____ did they even put these cushions on. I'm a very mechanical do it yourself person and this toe eye and these cushions have me baffles.

They were probably install before the upper deck was mated to the hull.

Boat builders install ~95% of items before mating the 2 halves.
