Default Fuel Pump

I just replaced the fuel pump. I thought I bought a identical one.
But I am not so sure now.
To mix things up, I have had a carby kit put though it, and I have played with the mixture.
My dilemma is: I can get the boat on a plane, but it runs out of steam and settles back into the water after about a minute or even less.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

What type, year and model engine. That doesn't look like a Mercury/Mercruiser part.

Also does not look like it belongs on a boat! Not CC certified!

I would get the correct Mercruiser pump. Is this one ignition protected, what is flow rate,...? While it may be the correct pressure it may not support flow rate at the boats high rpm.

Thanks for the input and advice.
Original part ordered.

Lesson 1: Come here to get advice first.
Lesson 2: Not all fuel pumps are made equal.
