Default Fuel intake

Hi folks.

The attached photo is of the fuel intake on top of the fuel tank.

I tried to take it off by turning it, but it didn't budge.

Am I correct in assuming it screws in and out?

Regards and thanks in advance.

Actually that’s the fuel outlet from the tank. The pice that is barbed is the anti siphon valve, it threads into the pickup tube which is threaded into the tank. There is probably some corrosion holding it in. Try some PB Blaster.
