Default Engine Compartment Pistons

Hey guys,
The pistons to hold up the engine compartment doors are shot so I need to find 2 new ones.
Does anyone know where to find them? I have the serial numbers of the old ones but can't find them online.
Approx 20" long when opened, 12" long when closed, Inner rod approx 7.5" when open.

Piston Model Reads:
LIFT-O-MAT High Pressure, USA-Colmar, Pa. 18915.
FPN119 0260N 062/94

Closest I got online was this link but I don't know which is the one I need:

http://www.iboats.com/Gas-Springs-20...view_id.731354

any advice will help, just making sure i don't buy the wrong ones.

Thanks,
- Joe

I have a scr2300 and replaced my engine cover pistons last season. I looked at auto parts store and finally found my best price at a local Bennys dept store. If I remember correctly I think they ran about $30 each and seem to be the same size as what you have. Make sure to get the ones with enough power to keep the lid open.

Good luck.

Hey for all of those interested,
Those pistons fit perfect and work great.
The brackets are different than the ones existing on my boat, but fit nonetheless, nothing a drill or a screw couldn't fix.

I just took one of mine to the local auto parts store and they were able to match them up perfectly.. Cheaper than from a boating supplyplace. They work great!
