Default Does anyone know the correct drive / prop setup for a 94 2700 scr 7.4

Bought my boat without a drive and prop. I know the boat had a Bravo II drive but I dont know what gear ratio. I also do not what the correct prop is for the boat. Thanks for any help you may be able to give me

Hi Jobie. I think most 2700scr's with the 7.4 engine came with a Bravo III leg. If you don't have a drive at present, I would suggest going with the B III. It will give you better handling at low speeds and I think better performance at higher speeds because it has two counter rotating props. I have a B III on my 96 2700scr with a 20" prop and have been quite happy with it.

Check and see if the BII will take a BIII. When I repowered I had to specify a BIII engine to match my drive. I know on the BI's the impellor is in the drive and in BIII's it's on the motor. I don't recall where it is on a BII.

Yes it's a Bravo II. I have the same boat. It will take the Bravo III lower and the pitch is 21.

No worries...welcome to the zoo....thanks for the info...

yes...the b2 drive will accept the b3 lower unit...most for the 7.4ltr engine is a 2.0 drive gear......the b2 drive probably came with a 21" pitch as noted above....but the b3 drives come in p20/p22/p24......

just as a side note...the A1g2 drive will not work on that engine..too much torque and it will destroy the drive....

let us know how it goes....
